Who am I?
My name is Yvonne Caples. I teach ESL at a high school in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have been teaching for 9 years. I moved to Las Vegas from Berkeley, California to pursue a career as a professional boxer. I got my B.A. from University of California, Berkeley and have completed two Master's degrees, an M.S. in Sports Coaching and an M.ed in Curriculum and Instruction, Technology Integration. I love to travel, listen to music, play with my puppies and be physically active.

What is my experience with video in the classroom?
Close to none. But I know my students would love to use video given the chance. It would allow them to use their creativity and sense of humor and produce English in a way that motivates them yet is a nonthreatening environment. They are interested in technology and video is an important aspect of that technology that they are interested in.

What do I hope to get out of this class?
I hope to get a basic understanding of how to create a short video and how to teach video production to my students. I would also like some advice on the best cameras to use for the classroom and how to upload video to the internet.
