I have been teaching EFL at a Public Language Center in Brasília, the capital. My students are mostly teenagers (from 11 to 19).My first experience with videos in class happened when I took a course called “Moving Voices” through iEARN ( International Education and Resource Network- www.iearn.org).
Thus, I have already worked with videos in my intermediate and advanced
classes. The results are really impressive as they have to work in groups planning, shooting and editing their digital films.Such work demands a lot of commitment ,patience and creativity. The good thing is that students see the task as a very demanding one ,but end up very proud of themselves.
I have also produced a short photostory using Windows Movie Maker when I facilitated a course to EFL teachers last year: http://www.vimeo.com/clip:115228.( or go to http://iearnprojects.tripod.com/id16.html)
I think I´d like to learn more about how to use videos in class and to improve my learning about the edition and uploading processes.
